Dear Comrade A,

Your letter of August 21 has reached me today; it takes about a fortnight to get air mail letters from the USA.

I have carefully gone through the contents of your letter; and let me tender my deepest appreciation of your kind offer.

Regarding the payment of the outstanding dues of the Temple Press, Savitri has to meet a bill of Rs. 2000/- for the printing up to forma No. 10, i.e., 160 pages of the book. The entire book will contain about 300 pages. Up till now about a half portion of the book has been printed.

The payment of Rs. 2000/- at present will meet the expenses of the printing of 160 pages (including paper etc.).

About the method of payment, I think it is better that this sum of Rs. 2000/- should be sent directly to Savitri. As she has been paying the dues all the time directly to the press, it is more convenient to continue this procedure.

I hope this letter will reach you in time before your departure for Germany.

As it is a hurried note, I have not touched on the other interesting points in your letter. When you come back from Germany, I will write to you a more comprehensive letter.

By the way, please note that my actual name is “Asit Krishna Mukherji,” and you should address me in this name in your next correspondence.

Please accept my sincerest compliments,

With kind personal regards,
Yours sincerely
Asit Krishna Mukherji
