Letter from Beryl Cheetham to Savitri Devi – 21 May 1979

301 words

Frankfurt am Main
21 May 1979

My dear Savitri,

You will be surprised to hear from me after all these years but I think about you very often and, in fact, have just been re-reading A Son of God which I enjoyed again very, very much. I hope that this letter reaches you. Joe Jones gave me your address when I telephoned him and said that I wanted to send the enclosed book to you. As you will see, I have changed my address and now live permanently here as both my parents have died, and I have no home in England anymore. I have a small flat here, and work as a typist for an American accounting firm.

I am not involved in politics here and have no contacts in England anymore with all the “old” people we used to know. From the recent General Election there, I see that Tyndall and Webster were both candidates for the National Front but none of their candidates got “in.” There is, unfortunately, nothing really NS happening in Germany now, the individual NS persons being scattered and unorganised. There are a few young NS groups but whether they are really the “Gold in the Furnace” or whether they just imagine they are NS is questionable. There are one or two young ones whom I’ve seen on television who seemed to have grasped what NS is all about but whether they have really dug deeply into the ideology and the history of Nature, I wonder.

I will make this letter short as I am not sure if you will receive it; I should like to hear from you again, and hope that you are well and still as very active as you always were.

My very best regards, Savitri

Sincerely, and with NS Greetings,
Beryl Cheetham
